1979 – The beginnings
Moved by a great passion for light Fausto Dalla Torre and his wife Luisa started IL FANALE in a small workshop
outside Treviso, near Venice. Their goal was handmaking high-quality fixtures as expression of Made in Italy; the use
of noble materials like brass, copper and glass creates a classic style that is combined with a special treatment of
oxidation – a secret passed on within the family – to make each product unique.
Il Fanale fixtures are handworks of “art and light” that suits contemporary environments with clear recalls
to Italian style tradition.The production is entirely local, and blends perfectly sublime crafts together with the latest
techniques, giving life to unique and timeless products. The materials used to create IL FANALE fittings are natural and faithful
the history of the handmaking: IRON, BRASS, COPPER. Diffusers in handblown Murano glass and ceramics of Bassano add
quality tribute to Made in Italy.
In our workshop, on request we manufacture bespoke products, both for retail and contract, with customized technical solutions
for each project. We develop custom project worldwide thanks to partnerships with local specifiers as well as with worldwide
famous architects, interior and lighting designers. A network that gathers professionals and artists with the aim of lighting
up and decorating indoor private and public spaces as well as urban environments. Our 40 years old experience guides us in
overcoming challenging requests while offering a tailored solution.
